Terms of Service & End User License Agreement (EULA)

Effective Date: June 10, 2026

Welcome to Zehn ("we," "us," "our," or "Company"), operated by Safari Group Trading FZCO, a company registered in the United Arab Emirates (IFZA Business Park, DDP, P.O. Box 342001, Dubai, UAE). These Terms of Service and End User License Agreement ("Terms" / "EULA") govern your access to and use of the Zehn mobile application and all content, features, and services offered through the App.

By downloading, creating an account, or accessing the App, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old (or 16 in the EU/EEA), that you have read and understood these Terms, and that you agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, do not download or use the App.

These Terms serve as the EULA required by Apple's App Store Review Guidelines. For Apple App Store users: Apple Inc. is not a party to this EULA and has no responsibility for the App or its content.

1. License to Use the App

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on devices you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not: sublicense, sell, or transfer the App; copy, modify, or create derivative works of the App; reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App; use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access or extract content; use the App for commercial purposes without our written consent; or circumvent any technical protection measures in the App.

2. Acceptable Use & Conduct

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior. You must not upload, post, share, or transmit any content or engage in any conduct that:

Is abusive, harassing, hateful, threatening, intimidating, or defamatory toward any person or group
Contains sexual, obscene, or graphically violent material
Promotes discrimination based on race, ethnicity, gender, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or age
Promotes, glorifies, or facilitates illegal activities or real-world violence
Constitutes spam, phishing, or knowingly false or misleading information
Infringes any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, or other intellectual property rights
Impersonates any person, company, or entity
Transmits viruses, malware, or any code designed to disrupt, damage, or gain unauthorized access to systems
Interferes with the integrity or performance of the App or its infrastructure
Collects personal data of other users without their consent

Violations result in immediate content removal and may result in temporary suspension or permanent termination of your account without refund of any remaining subscription period.

3. Book Club & User-Generated Content (UGC)

Zehn's Book Club feature allows users to participate in community discussions around books. Content you post in the Book Club is visible to other registered users of the App. By participating, you agree to the conduct standards in Section 2 and the following:

Agreement required before access: Access to Book Club and all UGC features requires acceptance of these Terms at account registration. You cannot participate without agreeing.

Automated content filtering: We employ automated filtering systems that scan all user-submitted content for known policy violations before and after posting. Content flagged by these systems is held for human review before appearing publicly or removed immediately.

How to flag objectionable content: Tap the three-dot menu (⋯) next to any post, comment, or user profile and select "Report." You will choose a reason (spam, harassment, hate speech, inappropriate content, etc.). All reports go directly to our moderation team for review.

How to block abusive users: Tap any user's profile or the three-dot menu (⋯) on their content and select "Block User." When you block a user:

Their content is immediately and permanently removed from your feed
They cannot view your profile, posts, or interact with you in any way
We are automatically notified and their account is queued for moderation review

Our 24-hour moderation commitment: We review all flagged content and block notifications within 24 hours. Upon confirming a violation, we will: (1) permanently remove the offending content, and (2) eject the responsible user from the platform. Violations involving threats of violence, self-harm, or child safety are escalated and actioned immediately.

No liability for UGC: We do not endorse, and are not responsible for, any content posted by users. You access user-generated content at your own risk. We are not liable for any harm resulting from your reliance on or interaction with UGC.

4. Copyright & DMCA Notice

We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe any content on the App infringes your copyright, please send a notice to contact@safarigrp.com containing: (a) a description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed; (b) the specific location of the infringing content; (c) your contact information; (d) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is unauthorized; (e) a statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner; and (f) your physical or electronic signature.

We will investigate and, where appropriate, remove or disable access to infringing content. Repeat infringers will have their accounts terminated.

5. Our Content & Intellectual Property

The App and all Zehn-produced content — including audio book summaries, AI-generated responses, texts, UI designs, logos, and trademarks — are owned by Safari Group Trading FZCO or our licensors and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and related laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, publicly perform, or create derivative works of Zehn content without our prior written consent.

Book summaries on Zehn are original editorial works created by our team based on publicly available books. They are not reproductions of the original works. All original book titles, author names, and cover art referenced are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification and commentary purposes only.

6. User Content License

Content you submit, upload, or post in the App (including Book Club posts, comments, and notes) remains your intellectual property. By submitting content, you grant Safari Group Trading FZCO a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, transferable license to use, host, store, reproduce, modify, distribute, and display that content solely to operate, improve, and promote the App and its features.

You represent and warrant that: (a) you own or have the necessary rights to the content you submit; (b) your content does not violate the rights of any third party; and (c) your content complies with these Terms. You are solely responsible for your content and any consequences of posting it.

7. AI Features Disclaimer

Zehn's "Ask AI" feature generates responses based on the content of book summaries available in the App. AI-generated responses are provided for general informational and educational purposes only and do not constitute professional advice of any kind — including but not limited to financial, medical, legal, psychological, or investment advice. Do not make important decisions based solely on AI-generated content.

AI responses may be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated. We make no warranty as to the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of AI-generated content. We expressly disclaim any liability arising from your reliance on AI-generated responses.

8. Zehn Pro — Subscription Terms

Zehn offers an optional auto-renewable subscription called Zehn Pro. The following disclosures are required by the Apple App Store:

Subscription name: Zehn Pro
Monthly plan: $9.99 per month — unlimited audio book summaries, unlimited Ask AI, offline listening, full library access
Annual plan: $59.99 per year — all monthly plan features (~$5.00/month equivalent, billed as a single annual charge)
Free trial: 7-day free trial available for new subscribers. Any unused portion of the free trial period will be forfeited upon purchasing a subscription.
Payment: Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
Auto-renewal: Your subscription automatically renews unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
Renewal charge: Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the then-current price.
Manage & cancel: Go to Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Zehn on your iOS device at any time.
Termination for violation: If your account is terminated for violating these Terms, you forfeit any remaining subscription period without refund.

9. Refund Policy

All purchases and subscriptions through the Apple App Store are subject to Apple's refund policy. We do not process App Store refunds directly. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com. For purchases made outside the App Store, contact us at contact@safarigrp.com within 14 days of the charge.

10. Account Registration & Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to keep your credentials secure. You may not create accounts for others, use false identities, or share your account.

11. Account Suspension & Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the App at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms, if we are required to do so by law, or if we reasonably believe continued access poses a risk to other users or to us. Upon termination: your right to use the App ceases immediately; any remaining subscription period is forfeited without refund if termination is due to a Terms violation; and your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

You may delete your account at any time via app settings or our account deletion page.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS OR THAT ANY ERRORS WILL BE CORRECTED. YOUR USE OF THE APP IS ENTIRELY AT YOUR OWN RISK.

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SAFARI GROUP TRADING FZCO, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE APP, ANY CONTENT ON THE APP, OR ANY USER-GENERATED CONTENT.

TO THE EXTENT LIABILITY CANNOT BE FULLY EXCLUDED, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $100.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations of liability. To the extent such laws apply to you, some of the above may not apply, but our liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted.

14. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Safari Group Trading FZCO and its officers, directors, employees, agents, licensors, and service providers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) your violation of these Terms; (b) any content you submit, post, or transmit through the App; (c) your use of the App in violation of any applicable law; or (d) your violation of any rights of any third party. This indemnification obligation survives termination of these Terms.

15. Dispute Resolution & Arbitration

Informal resolution first: Before filing any formal claim, you agree to contact us at contact@safarigrp.com and give us 30 days to resolve the dispute informally.

Binding arbitration: If informal resolution fails, any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App shall be resolved by binding individual arbitration — not in a court of law, except as noted below. Arbitration shall be conducted by a mutually agreed arbitrator in Dubai, UAE, or via written submissions if both parties agree.

Class action waiver: YOU AND ZEHN EACH WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO BRING OR PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION, CLASS ARBITRATION, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION. All disputes must be brought individually.

Exceptions: Either party may seek emergency injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to prevent irreparable harm. Claims within the jurisdiction of a small claims court may also be brought there.

EU/EEA residents: Nothing in this section limits your right to bring a claim before your local consumer protection authority or courts where required by applicable EU law.

16. Apple-Specific Terms

For users who downloaded the App from the Apple App Store:

This EULA is between you and Safari Group Trading FZCO only — not with Apple Inc.
Apple is not responsible for the App, its content, or any claims you or a third party may have relating to the App.
The license granted is limited to a non-transferable right to use the App on Apple-branded products you own or control, subject to the App Store Usage Rules.
Safari Group Trading FZCO is solely responsible for App maintenance and support. Contact contact@safarigrp.com for support — not Apple.
If the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple for a refund of the purchase price (if any). Apple has no further warranty obligations regarding the App.
Safari Group Trading FZCO is responsible for any product liability claims, consumer protection claims, or third-party IP infringement claims related to the App.
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this EULA and upon your acceptance, Apple has the right to enforce it against you.

17. Privacy Policy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy: https://thezehnapp.com/en/privacy. By using the App, you consent to the data practices described therein.

18. Communications

By creating an account, you consent to receive transactional emails (account notices, purchase receipts, security alerts). You may opt out of promotional communications at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us at contact@safarigrp.com.

19. Force Majeure

We are not liable for any failure or delay in performance resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, war, terrorism, riots, embargoes, natural disasters, internet or infrastructure failures, or government actions.

20. Modification of Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via in-app notice or email at least 14 days before changes take effect. Your continued use of the App after the effective date of any changes constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree to the new Terms, you must stop using the App and delete your account.

21. General — Severability, Waiver, Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force. Our failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce it in the future. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Safari Group Trading FZCO regarding the App and supersede all prior agreements.

22. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Subject to the Dispute Resolution section above, you irrevocably submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai, UAE. Nothing in this section limits the rights of consumers in jurisdictions where mandatory consumer protection laws apply.
